For the last two decades, the commercial battle between Boeing and Airbus has attracted extensive — in some cases excessive — media coverage worldwide. The industrial, technological, economical and even political roles played by the two rival manufacturers amply justify this media fascination. It is only natural that, once again, the two big players will capture the attention of a majority of observers at this year's Paris Air Show.
