The Snecma/Ge alliance is banking on continuous technology develpments to retain its market leadership in the years ahead. Though the air transport crisis is far from over, there is at least some sign of light at the end of the tunnel. Traffic is growing again, and deliveries of aircraft — and engines — are picking up. The time has come to capitalise on the technology studies of the past few years in order to improve the economics of the products on offer to the arlines while continuing to gear up for the launch of a new generation of short/medium-haul 150-seat aircraft during the first half of the next decade.
