When Boeing announced in September 2012 its intention to establish an avionics maintenance, repair and overhaul, (MRO), facility in the Republic of Korea, the technology park outside the city of Yeongcheon where it was to be built was still undeveloped land. Fast forward a year, and the vision of local officials to turn the area into a high-tech industry corridor is coming into sharper focus.
