Star Alliance welcomed Air India as a full member of its global family of airlines, opening the Indian national carrier's strong domestic network in the fifth largest aviation market to its customers worldwide. Air India will now offer all the benefits to the star alliance customers which fly more than 600 million passengers who travel on the network every year and Air India's customers will enjoy the same benefits vice versa on any of the other 26 member airlines across the network.
