Flight tests of MC-21-300, the new passenger aircraft, developed by IRKUT Corporation, started on May 28, 2017 at the factory airfield of Irkutsk City near Baikal Lake. According to the representative of Corporation, the first flight was held in the regular mode with the complete fulfillment of the flight task. It included checking the stability and controllability of the aircraft and engine, determining the dynamics of the machine on climbing and lowering, as well as testing the main systems.
