摘要

British Defense Minister for Equipment, Support, and Technology, Philip Dunne on his first visit to Malaysia, told International Aerospace at LIMA 2013, that he is here to give a clear message that Britain is back and would like to play a more active role in promoting trade with allies and partners and in particular the British Defence industry. The minister is very impressed with the quality of the exhibition, the exhibitors at the show and the Malaysian companies. He would like to create a win-win situation for British companies and its Malaysian customers especially at the government level. The British government is giving increasing emphasis to more and more ministerial visits. We would like to improve security especially cyber security and conduct joint exercises in jungle training. Malaysia's Prime Minister (Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak) had visited the UK two years ago, and British Prime Minister (David Cameron) returned the gesture by visiting Malaysia a year ago has boosted relations.
