There could be a big development in store today as Mitsubishi Aircraft announced late yesterday that its president, Hideo Egawa , will address a joint media briefing at the Paris Air Show with Jim Albaugh, president and CEO of Boeing Commercial Airplanes. Mitsubishi Aircraft and Boeing will be making an announcement at the briefing. The Mitsubishi company's regional jet, MRJ, has been getting accolades for its proposed operational economy and cabin comforts. The company recently announced that it had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Hong Kong-based aircraft lease and maintenance company, ANI Group Holdings Ltd, for an order for 5 next-generation MRJ aircraft. The group hopes to order more planes once the MRJ family is expanded to cover the 100 seat class.
