The Supreme Court recently directed that Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) submit a comprehensive report on the increase in Umrah and Haj fares within two days. A three-member bench of the apex court, headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry heard the petition, filed by advocate Zulfiqar Ahmed Bhutta, challenging the high airfare for Haj and Umrah charged by PIA last year.
