On Tuesday, Steve Ridolfi, President, Bombardier Business Aircraft and Thomas Flohr, Founder and Chairman, VistaJet, together announced that VistaJet has placed a firm order for 10 Global 8000 aircraft. The two companies have been in business for the last six year, during which time VistaJet has ordered 81 aircraft exclusively from Bombardier Aerospace. The new order totals a value of approximately US $650 million based on the 2011 list price for typically equipped aircraft. Just one month ago, Bombardier confirmed that VistaJet ordered two Challenger 605 and six Global 6000 jets in late January 2011. This latest Global aircraft order raises VistaJet's order backlog value to approximately US $2 billion.
