摘要

Bhuvan, India's homegrown version of Google Earth, whic was developed and put in place by the Indian Space Researd Organisation(ISRO) is being invested with more user friendly features to improve its appeal to the users. Bhuvan meaning Earth in the Indian classical language of Sanskrit provides 3-D imaging of earth with special emphasis on India, with medium to high resolution imageries covering the entire Indian landmass, Bhuvan is mainly fed with data made available by a constellation of remote sensing satellites being operated by ISRO and projects images of upto six metre resolution. The 3D terrain and information of many thematic data are the conspicuous features of Bhuvan.
