Curtiss-Wright Controls, Inc. recently announced the award of an 18-month contract with The Boeing Company to develop and supply data concentrator units for the CH-147 Chinook Medium to Heavy Lift Helicopter (MHLH) that is being developed for use by the Canadian Armed Forces. "Curtiss-Wright is proud to support Boeing on this important helicopter system with our integrated sensing products," said David Adams, co-chief operating officer of Curtiss-Wright Corporation. "We are excited about the growth we continue to see in the helicopter market segment of our core military aerospace business." Curtiss-Wright will develop and manufacture the DCU systems at its City of Industry, CA, facility, and ship the finished goods to Boeing, Philadelphia, PA. The contract will include aircraft production plus options. The initial contract runs through December 2011.
