India's dedicated ocean watch satellite, Oceansat-II, which was launched recently along with six other nano satellites by means of the four stage trusted space workhorse PSLV(Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle) has all its three onboard payloads activated successfully. The three payloads are: Ocean Colour Monitor (OCM),Ku band Pencil beam Scatterometer and Radio Occultation Sounder for Atmospheric Studies(ROSA).While ROSA is a payload contributed by the Italian space agency, Scatterometer and OCM are the Indian payloads on-board Oceansat-II which is envisaged as a replacement to Oceansat-1 launched in 1999.
