Companies in Cambodia will see more regulations in 2016 as the government puts the final touches on its new comprehensive environmental code, which could help rein in some of the world's worst deforestation. The Vishnu Law Group worked with the Ministry of Environment to draft the code and expects it to take effect in early 2017. "The objectives of the code include more transparency, clearer decision-making processes, and ... a better environment for both investment and development, as well as environmental protection and natural resources conservation," Vishnu adviser Brian Rohan told Bloomberg BNA.
