The Environmental Protection Bureau (EPB) of China's Guangdong province has released a number of initiatives it hopes the province will implement to help make its economic development model more environmentally sound.rnThe initiatives called for unified planning for hazardous waste disposal in the most heavily polluting industries, identified as the electroplating, leather, and printing and dyeing sectors. EPB also called for provincial-level approval of environmental impact assessments for future construction projects or expansion plans within those industries.
