A European Parliament delegation, fresh from meetings with the Bush administration and with key senators on Capitol Hill, said April 30 that they are concerned with the pace of U.S. action to cap greenhouse gas emissions, saying legislation would have to be passed in the next 18 months if there is any hope of negotiating a new climate change deal by the end of 2009.
