China National Petroleum Corp has finished building the oil and natural gas pipelines linking China with Myanmar, the state-owned company said December 28. Both pipelines run across Myanmar, starting in the western Kyaukryu region and entering China at Ruili in southern Yunnan province. The natural gas pipeline will extend across Yunnan, Guizhou, Chongqing and Guangxi, CNPC said. Work was completed ahead of schedule, ensuring that they can be commissioned this year, the company added. Work on the pipelines began in 2010.
