摘要

The response of an elastic rectangular plate which rests on a visco-elastic foundation and supports a moving continuous load is investigated. The equation of motion is first solved for finite lateral dimensions in both coordinate directions of the rectangular plate. One of the dimensions is allowed to extend to infinity thereby modelling the actual situation of a roadway. The solution is therefore systematically reduced to the one involving a one-dimensional Fourier sine transform. Important features of the response characterization are then surveyed for both constant and harmonic loading conditions. The results show that when damping is ignored, the critical value of the squared eigenfrequency of the harmonic loading is linearly dependent on the elastic foundation modulus.
