摘要

A push by digital terrestrial TV (DTT) broadcasters to integrate broadcasting and unicasting is critical to keep pace with the growing Internet Protocol (IP) content distribution over public networks. The effort is not trivial and, to date, has resulted in primarily two approaches. The first blends separate network transmissions (IP-delivered content and Over the Air [OTA] broadcasting) to be received on a single device. The second, and more ambitious and complex of the two, places IP-distribution capabilities at the core of DTT transmissions.
