摘要

The diversity of the agribusiness sector is something that we have now come to acknowledge. The turbulence of the sector means that it is the most agile and aware which survive and prosper, whilst at the same time remaining linked to many of the important values associated with the countryside. All three books below deal with aspects of agriculture within the globalised economy. The Norton et al. text provides coverage of issues concerning the developing economies, a group of states who are both the beneficiaries and the victims of globalisation. Bryceson's edited book offers us a review of the technical tools that enhance the agricultural industry's global spread. Finally, the Kesan-edited volume covers a very wide range of issues concerning the science of what might be at the heart of the next agricultural revolution.
