摘要

Frost deposition is an important phenomenon on evaporators of heat pumps and a frost growth model is a necessary part of the heat pumps simulation research. The empirical correlation models have much larger errors than the measurement's errors due to the data compression presented by them and the mathematical models recently reported are limit ed by the consumption of computing time. In this paper, an artificial neural network (ANN) model to simulate the frost growth is presented and the results show that it not only can be applied to simulation of heat pumps but also has the same error level as the meas urements.
