摘要

During our research, evaporation of water was investigated at forced convection. After laboratory measurements, it has concluded that in the case of water without heating, the rate of evaporation increases in the function of the air velocity and the temperature of the air. The values of the mass transfer coefficient were determined by one theoretical and ten empirical correlations collected from the literature. These coefficients were compared in the function of air velocity and air temperature. The results derived from the empirical equation of Inan and Atayilmaz are the closest to the theoretical results that were supported by the Bland-Altman method. Thus, the applicability range of this equation for water temperature, air temperature, air velocity and relative humidity has been extended.
