The authors describe their ongoing research on slush production with a facility comprising a small vacuum- insulated cylinder, a vacuum system, a heat exchanger using liquid helium as a refrigerant, and an auger for scraping. The objective of the experiments is to develop a technology for slush hydrogen production by means of the auger Method.
