摘要

The 18th meeting of the Eurafric Forum, organized by Agence de Developpment des Entreprise en Afrique (ADEA), was recently convened in Lyon, France, bringing together experts, major international donors, political and economic decision-makers, as well as several European companies to discuss issues around the issue of water and energy. The members of ADEA consider these sectors to be a priority in Africa and for meeting the UN Millennium Development Goals. The objective of the meeting was to promote inter-enterprise partnerships between the EU and Africa in these sectors, while also improving the competitiveness of African businesses and reducing poverty across the continent. The focus was on European and African small and medium enterprises specializing in equipment manufacturing and industrial subcontracting, large public and private companies as well as policy makers, financial institutions and partners, professional associations and other related organizations.
