Nexif Energy, an independent power producer based in Singapore, has acquired 94 per cent of the equity share of the Song Giang Hydropower JSC, the owner and operator of two run-of-river hydro-power projects in cascade on the river Song Giang, totalling 49 MW, in the Khanh Hoa province of Vietnam. The group, which is a joint venture of Nexif and Denham Capital of the UK, announced on 16 December that it had acquired the 37 MW Song Giang 2 plant, which has been operating since December 2014, and the 12 MW Song Giang 1 scheme, which is under construction and is expected to be commissioned in 2021.
