A consortium of Austria's ATB Sever, Croatia's Koncar Generatori i Motori and Montenegro's Nikcom is to carry out the rehabilitation of six generators at the 307 MW Perucica storage hydropower plant in northern Montenegro under a contract valued at around €3 million (US$ 3.4 million) signed on 20 June with the state-controlled power utility Elektro-privreda Crne Gore (EPCG). The overhaul will extend the lifetime of the country's oldest hydropower plant as well as improve its availability, reliability and safety, EPCG disclosed. The contracted work will mainly be undertaken during planned routine overhauls and is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2021. The contract will encompass dismantling of the units, the measuring, control and testing of the generators, repair of parts of generators in the contractor's plant, along with delivery and installation of equipment.
