Gilkes Hydro of the UK has received an order from Settet Power Generation Company for the supply, installation and commissioning of electromechanical equipment for the 2.6 MW Kipsonoi hydro project in southwestern Kenya. The contract, which was signed in March, provides for construction to begin on 30 April and to be completed within 28 calendar months. Gilkes Power confirmed that scheduled construction would take place as prescribed by the contract, in spite of the current COVID-19 pandemic.
