摘要

The Garden Island Microgrid Project, at Garden Island, Western Australia, will be the world's first wave energy integrated microgrid, and will produce both power and desalinated water. It will involve the construction and integration of 2 MW of solar PV capacity, a 2 MW/0.5 MWh battery storage system, and a control system based on Carnegie Wave Energy's CETO 6 wave energy generation technology. The microgrid will operate either independently or in conjunction with the Western Australian electricity network, switching without interruption between the two through a digitized control system.
