A newly adapted classification of geot-hermal resources will help attract geot-hermal investment in Indonesia, according to a recent report by IRENA, IGA (the International Geothermal Association) and the World Bank. The system, which is being supported under the auspices of the UNFC (UN Framework Classification of Resources), encompasses the management of socio-economic, technological and uncertainty aspects of energy and mineral projects. Investors can identify projects to match their pre- ferred risk profile, reduce exposure to potential costly failures and protect their investments.
