Serbia's state-owned power utility Elektroprivreda Srbije (EPS) announced on 4 July that it has signed a contract with Power Machines of Russia to complete the rehabilitation of the Iron Gates (Derdap) 1 hydro plant on the river Danube. Power Machines will carry out the upgrade of the A2 turbine from this September for completion in October 2019, followed by that of the A3 turbine, and will complete the entire project in January 2021, EPS announced.
