Cube Hydro Partners announced on 2 February that its affiliate, Cube Hydro Carolinas, had completed the acquisition from Alcoa Corporation of four hydro plants totalling 215 MW, along the river Yadkin in the eastern US state of North Carolina. The acquisition of the High Rock, Tuckertown, Narrows and Falls plants, which produce annual output of nearly 800 GWh, will create significant economic and environmental benefits for the local community, according to Cube Hydro.
