Operation has begun at what is claimed to be the world's first emission-free 'plug-and-play' commercial-sized micro-grid, powered by solar PV with hydrogen-based and lithium-based storage. It has been designed to meet part of the energy needs of a construction camp for more than 600 technicians working at Enels's geothermal plant Cerro Pabell6n, in Ollagiie, Chile.
