The Nordic Investment Bank (NIB) announced in mid-October the signing of a 15-year loan deal with the utility Nord-Trøndelag Elektrisitets-verk Holding (NTE) of Norway to co-finance three hydropower projects in central Norway. The NOK 340 million (US$ 42.6 million) loan will help NTE AS finance the construction of the Storaselva plant, the rehabilitation of the Byafossen plant and the replacement of the dam at Namsvatnet Lake, NIB announced on 18 October. The total cost of the three projects is estimated at around NOK 690 million (US$ 83.3 million).
