Rainpower has been contracted to upgrade two units at the 21 MW Fr0land powerplant in western Norway. The contract, signed in late September with the local power producer and supplier BKK, will involve the supply, installation and commissioning of two new Francis turbines, main inlet valves, a hydraulic pressure unit and unit regulator, it was announced in October. The upgrade of ;units 1 and 2 is to be completed in 2018.
