CKD Blansko Holding, Czech Republic, has announced the re-commissioning of the 1.46 MW Dubova hydro plant in western Slovakia, after completing the refurbishment of the second of the two units. The refurbishment, which was carried out in cooperation with REN Project based in Prague, Czech Republic, covered the replacement and modernization of the regulation system for the hydraulic and electrical parts of Unit 1, and configuration to enable remote control. The upgraded plant was successfully commissioned and handed over to the owner-operator Zeleziarne Podbrezova, a Slovak steel producer, in early November. CKD Blansko Holding and REN Project had previously modernized the regulation system of unit 2 of the plant and both units of the Jasenie small hydro plant, also owned by Zeleziarne Podbrezova.
