RusHydro, Russia's state-controlled hydropower producer, announced on 22 December the commissioning and entry into commercial operation of the ninth and final 333 MW unit at the Boguchanskaya hydropower plant in eastern Siberia. The plant, on the Angara river in Krasnoyarsk Krai, is currently operating with a capacity of 2880 MW, but is expected to achieve its full capacity of 3000 MW during 2015 once the reservoir has been filled to its design level of 208 m. The reservoir level as of 22 December was 204.5 m.
