摘要

In this paper a new automated methodology used to compute the static stresses at speed-no-load (SNL) condition has been presented. The validation shows very good agreement with the results obtained with on-site strain gauge measurements. Different sensitivity analyses have been carried out to verify the quality of the results. With such a robust and flexible process, it is now possible to analyse all projects under the SNL operating condition during the design phase. The dynamic stresses are not considered with this methodology, and an accurate method for their prediction is still a topic of research. However, the static or mean stresses under SNL are a necessary element in the design life assessment of a Francis turbine runner. The methodology presented can already be used to control adequately the mean stress levels at SNL condition and thus increase the reliability of the runner.
