Greenko recently completed its acquisition of the existing 70 MW Budhil hydropower plant in India, taking its operational hydro base to 235.25 MW with 187.6 MW under construction. Earlier this year, the company announced its plans to buy the plant from Lanco Hydro, and that Budhil would be the largest of its 12 run-of-river stations in the local area of Himachal Pradesh. Construction of the 96 MW Dikchu scheme remains on schedule for commissioning in 2015, Greenko recently reported. Other plants under construction are, in the southern region, the 24 MW Kukkey-1 and 24 MW Kumardhara schemes; the 10 MW AMR-2 project is almost complete. In the north, tunnelling works are underway on both the 9.6 MW Jeori and 24 MW Paudital Lassa schemes. Previously, Greenko had noted that its hydro assets could be increased with two more small hydro plants (2 × 5 MW) in a possible further acquisition deal with Lanco Hydro.
