Since its commissioning, a power-plant in the French Alps has been experiencing trunnion-sealing failures. Clearly this plant is not the only one to suffer this type of sealing failure. PXL Seals therefore proposed to develop a new sealing solution for spherical valve trunnion applications. The French client allowed testing of the solution to be undertaken on all the units.
