The Turkish independent power producer Enerjisa invited bids in September for the supply, installation and commissioning of electromechanical equipment for the 400 MW Pervari dam and powerplant on the Botan river in Turkey's southeastern province of Siirt. In a 13 September tender notice, the developer said the core project involved two 195.5 MW vertical axis Francis units and two 9.2-MW horizontal axis Francis units. In addition to turbines, the contract calls for the delivery of generators, inlet valves, balance of plant, instrumentation and controls and switchgear.
