A consortium led by Andritz Hydro and comprising Voith Hydro and Alstom Hydro has been awarded a contract by Turkey's Kalehan Enerji to supply and install electromechan ical equipment for the 550 MW Beyhan 1 hydroelectric scheme on the Murat river, in the eastern province of Elazig. Beyhan 1 is the first of four plants which are to be built on the Murat river by Kalehan Enerji, a joint venture between Turkish engineering companies Ozaltin Construction and Cengiz Construction.
