摘要

The pump-turbine cavitation characteristic is calculated by the N-S equation, RNG k - £ model and modified mixture model. The following conclusions have been drawn:rn1.The pump-turbine efficiency is calculated at different operation points in accordance with the experiment result, there is a rapid decrease in efficiency when the Thomas number is smaller than the critical Thomasrnnumber at three different flow rates. The average difference between experiment and simulation is 0.4 per cent. 2.The cavitation bubble distribution is calculated in the pump mode. For discharges lower than the optimum flow, cavitation bubbles can be observed on the suction side of the profile. For discharges higher than the optimum, the cavitation appears on the pressure side of the profile. The cavitation characteristic becomes serious as the flow rate increases in turbine mode.
