Meanwhile, construction of a 115 MW wind project, about 400 km north of Santiago on the coast of Chile, has been arranged by Parque Eolico El Array an (PEE A). When completed, El Arrayan will be Chile's largest wind power scheme. The project will provide the largest contribution of renewable energy towards meeting Chile's goal of generating 20 per cent of its energy from non-conventional renewable sources by 2020. The sponsors of PEE A, AEI, Pattern Energy Group LP (Pattern), and Antofagasta Minerals SA, have also agreed on a $245 million financial package for the project.
