This second report concludes our two-part summary of the presentations at ICOLD's 24th Congress in Kyoto, which took place in June this year. Q92, environmental issues, and Q93, safety, were reported in our last issue (No. 4, 2012). Here Steve Usher and Alison Bartle report on Q94and Q95, respectively. Also included is a short report of this year's meeting of ICOLD's Young Engineers Forum. The third and fourth topics covered during this year's ICOLD Congress in Kyoto were: flood discharge, and ageing and upgrading. We present here brief highlights from the individual presentations.
