Canada's proposed Muskrat Falls project moved forward recently with the signing of final legal agreements between Newfoundland Crown energy corporation, Nalcor Energy, and privately owned Nova Scotia utility, Emera. The agreements for the development of the 824 MW project on the Lower Churchill river in Labrador and the transmission of power to Newfoundland and the mainland through subsea cables, formalizes a tentative deal first announced in November 2010.
