AECOM Technology Corporation's RSW International subsidiary and Electricite de France have been awarded a $13.4 million contract to carry out a feasibility study on the development of the estimated 40-50 GW Grand Inga hydro project in DRC, and the construction of four associated interconnectors, linking Inga to Nigeria, Egypt and South Africa via Zambia and to South Africa through Angola. AECOM said these lines would total more than 12 800 km.
