Located 4 km northwest of Beypazari, Urus is located on Süvari creek which is the main water source of the project. The project area covers approximately 5000 ha of irrigation land. The project will also provide total potable water of 6.7 ×10~6 irrVyear to the towns of Beypazari, Glidul and Urus from the reservoir which has a total volume of 38 ×10~6 m~3. The concrete faced rockfill dam has a total fill volume of 3.1×10~6 m~3. The water intake structure serves for potable water, irrigation water and bottom outlet as a combined branching structure. The branches will have separate connections to each system as pressurized pipes. The irrigation main channel will be connected into the irrigation network of the 5000 ha of irrigation land, and potable water mains will convey water into the relevant water treatment plants.
