Jammu & Kashmir State Power Development Corporation Ltd (JKSPDCL) has invited pre-qualification applications by 6 August for the development of the 690 MW Ratle hydro project on the river Chenab, in the Kishtwar district of Jammu & Kashmir. The project, which is open to both national and international developers, is to be developed on a Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) basis under a 35-year concession. The winning bidder will be required to offer no less than 15 per cent of the output of the plant to the State of J&K without any charge.
