Hedcor Sibulan Inc, a wholly owned subsidiary of Philippines' Aboitiz Power Corporation, has secured debt financing from a consortium of local banks for two hydropower projects it is developing on the island of Mindanao. A 12 year loan of Peso 3.5 billion (US$ 81.8 million) was extended to the company by the Metropolitan Bank & Trust Company, the Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation and the Philippine National Bank. The 16 MW Baroring and 26 MW Sibulan run-of-river schemes are being developed at Santa Cruz in the province of Davao del Sur at an estimated cost of Peso 5 billion ($116.8 million).
