Energias de Portugal has awarded contracts worth a total of € 307 million to local engineering companies for the construction of two large hydro projects. A €257 million contract to build the Baixo Sabor dam and hydropower plant in the Douro river basin in northern Portugal was awarded in July to Bento Pedroso Construfoes and Lena Engenharia e Construcoes.
