摘要

The authors describe research which has tested new technologies and materials for the manufacture of Pelton runners; the results, applicable to the manufacturing process, can help to ensure that the most economic and technically effective methods are adopted. The Pelton turbine was patented in 1880. Since then, no fundamental innovation has changed this type of machine in principle. However, based on recent numerical simulation methods and new technological advances, some innovations have developed. These could be used for Pelton runner production, as well as flow simulation and resulting innovation in geometry.
